What this does and does not include
Included: the detergent (AKTIV or X-PRESS) and the fibre-protecting agent (APRET) at the dose rates Kreussler recommend.
Not included: prespotting with AVANT, which depends on how soiled your work is; water and power; labour; and equipment. Prespotting is usually a small number, but it is real.
Two honest warnings about the output. The first is that bath volume is the assumption that moves the answer most. If you know your machine’s actual water consumption per cycle, put that in the assumptions rather than trusting the litres-per-kilo default — a machine running 4 litres per kilo instead of 6 changes the cost by a third.
The second is that chemistry is not where the cost of wet cleaning is decided. Finishing labour is. A number on this page is useful for ordering and for budgeting, but if you are deciding whether to add the process, read what wet cleaning actually costs to run first, because it covers the lines that matter more than this one.
A note on the prices
The default drum prices are a current guide only, ex GST. Real pricing depends on volume and on your account. If you want your actual cost per load, tell us your machine and we will do the sum properly.
