LANADOL X-PRESS — Heavy Duty Wet Cleaning
LANADOL X-PRESS is the heavy-duty end of the LANADOL range — more cleaning power, shorter cycles, and a deliberate trade of delicacy for throughput.
What it is for
AKTIV is formulated to be gentle enough for anything. X-PRESS is formulated for the work that does not need that much care but does need the soil gone: workwear, cotton and poly-cotton, uniforms, outerwear, heavily soiled everyday garments. It runs in the LANADOL DRY process, which is the version of the cycle designed to cut drying and finishing time to a minimum.
What is inside it:
- An enzyme system that breaks down protein and starch soils — food, blood, body residue — at cold temperatures.
- A low-foaming surfactant package for grease, oil and pigment.
- Colour protection that prevents dye transfer between garments in a mixed load.
- An anti-ageing and fibre-smoothing system that keeps colours bright and stops the grey cast that builds up on repeatedly washed garments.
It contains no phosphates, no optical brighteners, no EDTA or NTA, and no musk fragrances, and it meets the Blue Angel requirements for wet cleaning.
The important limitation
X-PRESS is not for highly sensitive textiles. Silk, angora, cashmere and predominantly wool garments should go through LANADOL AKTIV instead. This is the one judgement call the process asks of the operator, and getting it wrong is how a plant produces a felted jumper.
The practical answer in most plants is to run both. Sort at the counter, route the delicate work to AKTIV and everything else to X-PRESS, and take the shorter cycle and lower finishing labour on the bulk of the volume.

Where the economics come from
The cost case for X-PRESS is not the chemical price. It is the time. The LANADOL DRY process shortens the cycle and cuts drying, and because the fibre comes out smoother the garment needs less work on the press. In a plant where finishing labour is the real constraint — which is most plants — that is where the money is.
Pair it with LANADOL APRET in the final bath to get the full benefit.
